Description

The Medical Assistant instructor will be responsible for providing instruction for students entering the Medical Assistant profession. Previous teaching experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Utilizing instructional materials to provide optimal academic success to our students
  • Teaching all required subjects incorporated in the Clinical Medical Assistant program (including phlebotomy, pharmacology, EKG, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, clinical skills, etc.)
  • Providing extra support to students after class as needed
  • Grading assignments and exams
  • Submitting all grades and attendance records to our Compliance Coordinator on a daily basis
  • Ensuring that all federal/state regulations are being met by following guidelines set in place by our director
  • Complete daily lesson task sheet to be turned in to our Compliance Coordinator on a daily basis
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff/faculty meetings
  • Assist in maintaining our student retention plan

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • At least 3 years of working experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant. Candidate must have work experience in the field within the past year.
  • National Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a one on one or group setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a group setting
  • Superior organizational skills

Education Required:

  • Completion of a Certified Clinical Medical Assisting program

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of work experience as a Clinical Medical Assistant
